Trial set for suspects in Kelly slaying

Circuit Judge Robert Krebs on Thursday set a trial date for two of three suspects charged with capital murder in the October shooting death of Jermaine Jebon "J.J." Kelly. Myron "Dog Pound" Johnson and Spencer "Black" Lawrence are in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center and will remain there until the May 20 jury trial. Full story »

Ranks of insured Mississippians fell steeply over last decade

Poor economy bites into university faculty salaries

Nationally, one-third of the faculty at colleges and universities saw salary reductions in 2009-10, according to a recent survey by the College and University Professional Association of Human Resources.
